We’re In this Together: Navigating Difficult Questions for Implementing LGBTQ-Inclusive Curriculum 

This culminating workshop for SNEP’s Virtual Symposium will focus on implementation strategies for LGBTQ-Inclusive Curriculum and supports in a whole-school community context, including students, families, administrators, and educators. Facilitators Brandie Melendez, M.S.Ed SPHR (she/her) and Bex Mui, M. Ed (she/her) will share examples from their work in schools across the country, provide frameworks for bringing in different constituents, and invite participants to consider the differences between “pushback” and “questions.” Participants will have the opportunity to share their own successes and to brainstorm around challenges to implementation in their schools and districts.
